Kern 1600 flex
The Simple and multifunctional inserting system
he K1600 flex, flexible, multi-format inserting system is the ideal solution for low to medium production requirements 12,000 envelopes/hour.
The main strengths of the Kern 1600 flex inserting system are its high flexibility, fast changeover, maximum reliability and ease of use.
Focused on the transactional market -medium production requirements- and direct mailing, it can be fed from either reel or cut-sheet and the ideal configuration for the customer’s application can be realised with a wide variety of modules, all interconnected. With multi-channel capability, up to 3 communicating channels, the system offers a huge range of application possibilities.
Particularly important for the direct mailing market is the ability to handle up to 16 inserting stations, combining friction feeders and rotary feeders together, depending on the different types of material to be enveloped: grammage, paper types and thickness.
Furthermore, thanks to the use of innovative technologies, there is never any contact between the documents and the envelope during processing, which guarantees maximum reliability and safety of the inserting process. To increase the productivity of the system, format changes are reduced to a few manual operations by the operator.

Kern 1600 fast
The Simple, fast and versatile inserting system
The flexible, versatile and fast K1600 Fast inserting system is the ideal solution for a medium to high range of production requirements 16,000 envelopes per hour.
The Kern 1600 fast system is also characterised by high flexibility, fast format change, maximum reliability and simple operation.
Focused on the transactional market -medium/high production requirements- and direct mailing, it can be fed from either reel or cut-sheet and the ideal configuration for the customer’s application can be realised with a wide variety of modules, all interconnected.
Among other features, it is possible to use the tried-and-tested system channel that combines the functions of grouping (top/bottom), folding (4-pocket folding unit), 90° left or right rotation and 180° rotation. In this way, all common types of applications (both folded and unfolded sheets) can be handled.

The system is operated by a central touch screen, the necessary information is displayed by the operator in textual and graphical form. On leaving the machine, the system can be equipped with the Print@Exit inkjet printing system, and like all other systems in the Kern family, the Kern 1600 fast can be integrated into complete workflow systems thanks to its full integration with the ADF (mailFactory©).
Document cutting and feeding:
The Kern 996 cutting system can handle a wide range of applications and offers great flexibility and efficiency. The Kern 972 cut sheet feeder provides high capacity at a speed of 45,000 sheets per hour.

The Kern 3200 is a modular multi-format system, the ideal solution for flexibility and articulated jobs in the medium to high performance range and high process automation.

The Kern 3200 inserting system is characterised by its modularity, maximum flexibility, high reliability and simple, intuitive operation. Thanks to its various configuration options, it is suitable for use in the transactional, direct mailing and print & inserting service markets.
At the heart of the system is the newly developed inserting module. The Kern 3200 is the only system in this performance class that can be equipped with more than one envelope tank, and thanks to this unique concept, the system can handle different envelopes from job to job without the operator having to make a physical change.
Envelope server
The Kern 3200 can be equipped with an additional envelope tank. Thanks to this innovative concept, unique on the market, the Kern 3200 can process job by job with different envelopes without operator intervention.
Application varieties
The Kern 3200 allows automatic format change. When the application changes, the whole system adjusts to the new format fully automatically.
